Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 14, 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Media Excellence Awards ("TNMEA", "the Awards", "we", "us", or "our"), an initiative of the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly. By submitting a nomination, voting, attending, or otherwise engaging with the Awards, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not submit a nomination or otherwise participate in the Awards.

2. Eligibility

Nominations are open to media practitioners, presenters, journalists, digital creators, and media houses operating within or in connection with the Tarkwa Nsuaem municipality, unless otherwise stated for a specific category.

We reserve the right to verify eligibility and to disqualify any nominee or nomination that does not meet the stated criteria, at our sole discretion.

3. Nomination Submissions

By submitting a nomination, you confirm that all information provided — including names, contact details, photographs, and supporting material — is accurate, truthful, and submitted with the knowledge and consent of the nominee where you are nominating someone other than yourself.

We reserve the right to reject, edit, or remove any nomination that is incomplete, fraudulent, offensive, defamatory, or otherwise inconsistent with the spirit of the Awards.

Submission of a nomination does not guarantee shortlisting, nomination confirmation, or an award.

4. Photographs & Media Use

Photographs and other media submitted as part of a nomination may be used by TNMEA and the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly for purposes connected to the Awards, including shortlisting, promotional materials, event publications, the official website, and social media channels.

By submitting a photograph, you represent that you have the right to submit it and to grant this permission, and you agree to indemnify us against any claim arising from a breach of this representation.

5. Selection & Judging

Nominees may be shortlisted and winners selected by a panel of judges and/or through public voting, as determined by the organising committee for each category. Judging criteria and processes are determined at the sole discretion of the organising committee.

All decisions made by the judging panel and organising committee are final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding those decisions.

6. Code of Conduct

Nominees, nominators, and attendees are expected to act with integrity and respect throughout the nomination, judging, and award process. We reserve the right to disqualify any nominee or nomination associated with conduct that is unlawful, unethical, or damaging to the reputation of the Awards.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the TNMEA website and associated materials, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and design elements, is the property of TNMEA and the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly, or its licensors, and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

TNMEA and the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your participation in the Awards, including but not limited to technical issues affecting nomination submission or email verification.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Awards process or applicable law. Continued participation after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your participation in the Awards shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
